Helpdesk & Systems Support Officer

THE ROLE 

We are looking for a Helpdesk & Systems Support Officer with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is a newly created role offering a diverse career development path, on the job training and a strong team environment.

The position entails:

  • Answering calls and emails to troubleshoot a wide variety of issues.
  • Prioritising jobs and dealing with initial customer support requests.
  • Remote support for workstations and servers.
  • Daily monitoring of our customer’s infrastructure, with maintenance performed as required.
  • Preparing new equipment for on-site deployment.
  • Updating technical documentation.

You will be utilising best practice technologies to deliver IT support to new and existing customers. This is a terrific opportunity for someone to work in such a varied role.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following skills:

  • Some experience with Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) tools and Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools. Experience with LabTech and ConnectWise a bonus.
  • General knowledge of IT applications, processes, software, and equipment.
  • Experience in all current Microsoft desktop operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Some experience in Windows Server. Exchange Server and Office 365 experience a bonus.
  • Understanding of virtualisation.

The successful candidate will have a strong, customer service approach and highly professional written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and an ability to keep detailed documentation updated and accurate is a must!
